Before you can
even consider going into business you need a good idea,
and for those in business you need to keep coming up with
new ideas as standing still should never be an option. In
this workshop we will show you how, by being creative you
can not only come up with a business idea that is suitable
for you but also show you how to “Excite” an existing idea
to put you ahead in the marketplace.
Most ideas are
not new but how you promote and interpret that idea can
make the difference between success and failure. We all
have the ability to be creative, by changing the way we
think about everyday things and problems, it is possible
to come up with new ways of doing things, and before you
know it you have a new idea for a business.
Of course it doesn't
happen overnight and it takes a lot of hard work turning
an idea into a reality that can survive in a tough business
world. There will be plenty of people trying to knock your
idea down, but in this workshop we will show you how to
get an idea in the first place and then how to build it
up.
All of us have
the potential to be creative when we find ourselves in particular
situations and in an open frame of mind. We all have to
use our imagination which we can all do from time to time.
Creativity, in
fact often comes to the fore when we find ourselves facing
a problem we have not previously encountered. Looking for
a business idea is a good example of such a situation. In
such circumstances we cannot simply rely on previous experience
(although it could be a good starter), so we have to think
differently in seeking a solution to this new problem –
in other words, we have to be inventive, to use our imagination
and to be more creative.

The workshop will
be delivered by Carolyn Maniukiewicz, who has had many years
of experience in this field. The workshops were developed
in Aberdeen where she worked for the Local Enterprise Agency
and she is proud to say that 48% of those going through
her workshops have now successfully started up in business.
The workshops
have now been delivered around Scotland and as far afield
as San Francisco. Carolyn is a passionate advocate of ‘Thinking
Out Of The Box’ and ‘The Can Do Culture’ and hopefully this
workshop will impart some of that zest to all the delegates.
Taster
Session
Can be delivered
as part of overall business start-up package or as part
of conference agenda.
Workshops
The workshops
can be delivered over one day or over 2 to 3 evenings. The
workshops will include workbooks and practical one to one
information.
Corporate
Every business
needs to keep coming up with new ideas. This workshop can
be done in-house to stimulate ideas from within from whole
team, management or staff. It often needs a good facilitator
to tease suggestions out of staff, and an external person
is often best placed to do this.
These workshops
can help at times of change, to help promote better communication,
to help design new processes or better working practices.
All companies, whatever their size or sector can benefit
and because they are also fun they can help with teambuilding.
